it's not so much courage as it is that I like the "charge" I get from taking a shot of someone without them noticing. I like the feeling that I just got away with something. Plus, I'm also at an advantage being a girl and young in that people don't feel threatened by my having a camera with me. And if I do get caught photographing someone I usually just smile and nothing comes of it. I also don't shoot people that I think will get mad if they catch me. I admit that I miss most of my shots due to shyness. Really, anyone can do it as long as they have common sense about it. Also keep in mind that if you do get caught photographing someone it's not against the law and that 99% of the time the worst that will happen will be receiving a dirty look from a stranger who you'll probably never see again anyways.
